Job Title: Senior Bookkeeper Department Accounting
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Manager/Supervisor Group

DK is looking for a driven Senior Bookkeeper to join our join our CAS (Client Advisory Services) Practice and work with our individual and industry clients that have businesses in arts, sports and entertainment, biotechnology, construction, hospitality, manufacturing & distribution and more.

This position may be in anyone of our three offices with occasional travel to office required.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation and being review, in a limited scope, monthly client write-up work and ensure due dates are met
  • Assist with sales tax returns and Business Property Statements
  • Become involved in client correspondence regarding missing information as well as supporting client overall needs
  • Perform general ledger account reconciliations to supported schedules/workpapers
  • Preparation of bank reconciliations
  • Reconcile subsidiary ledgers to general ledger accounts
  • Business Licenses and other informational returns/reports
  • Assist in Sales tax audits
  • Train, mentor, and limited supervision of staff including facilitating individual and in-house training
  • Assist with client billing including analysis of work in process and budget to actual reports

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes 55+ hours a week as needed, especially during year-end closing.
  • Accounting degrees or certificates are preferred, but not required. This may be substituted with equivalent years of experience and continued education.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to understand Accounting Concepts and GAAP standards
  • Participate in intermediate/advanced continued education as well as assist in developing in house training courses.
  • Familiar with Accounting related software, to include AgiLink, Sage Intacct, CFS, QuickBooks, T-value, Adobe Acrobat, Prosystems Engagement, and CCH Axcess.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

The pay range for this opportunity is $30-37/hour.
