SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Audit Jr. Staff will be responsible for preparation of various types of assurance and accounting engagements, fulfilling bookkeeping needs, and assisting in preparation of tax returns related to assurance and accounting clients. They will also have a good understanding of GAAP accounting principles and basic tax forms as well as an ability to meet their budget and hour goals.

Must possess Bachelor of Accountancy or related degree with equivalent accounting credits required for eligibility to sit for EA or CPA exams.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficient in the following knowledge and skills
    • Preparation of recurring compilation and review engagements and all related workpapers
    • Preparation of financial statements
    • Ability to prepare adjusting journal entries as necessary
    • Fulfill bookkeeping tasks as needed
    • Proper workpaper referencing
    • Use of the following software applications
      • ProSystem Engagement
      • Quickbooks
      • T-Value
      • Adobe Acrobat
      • Microsoft Excel
      • Lacerte
    • Rudimentary or basic understanding of the following knowledge and skills
      • Preparation of new compilation and review engagements and all related workpapers
      • Preparation of assurance engagement’s related programs and checklists
      • Preparation and understanding of financial statement disclosures
      • Performing relevant audit test-work
      • Obtaining appropriate materials from RIA/Checkpoint
      • Performing and understanding analytical procedures and relationships between the financial results for a client
      • Ability to set up engagement binders for new clients/industries
      • Ability to create PBC list of engagement needed items
      • Managing budget on jobs
