SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
DK provides assurance services to clients throughout Southern California and we are seeking ambitious, qualified individuals to assist us with all aspects of our assurance engagements. The candidate must have a desire to pursue a career in public accounting and have the ability to work in a fast–paced and team oriented environment. Responsibilities will range from client assistance and communication, to planning and auditing selected areas of a financial statements and note disclosure.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Currently seeking graduates and students for a paid internship opportunity in our La Jolla/UTC office. The internship will begin in late May, 2019 until the end of August, 2019. Interns can expect to work between 10-30 hours per week and we will work with your school schedule.
Interns will be compensated at a rate of $20/hr.

This is a temporary contract position as a regular part time employee.
KEY COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENT:
Ø Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent attention to detail, strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Ø Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Ø Ability to meet project budgets set by superiors.
Ø Must be currently enrolled in accounting program (major or minor) at Junior or Senior level with a preferred cumulative and major GPA 3.5 and above.
Ø Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and current accounting policies and procedures.
Ø Ability to demonstrate strong problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
Ø Ability to interact with various levels of client and firm management in both written and verbal form.
Ø Ability to self-motivate and take responsibility for personal growth and development.
Ø Familiar with Accounting related software, to include QuickBooks, T-value, Adobe Acrobat, Prosystems Engagement, and Checkpoint Tools.
Ø Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without organization sponsorship.
